Pre/Post Care Instructions

Injectables

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Avoid blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for at least one week prior to the procedure.

  2. Inform your provider if you have a history of herpes outbreaks, as laser treatments may trigger a recurrence.

  3. Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours before the procedure.

  4. Inform your injector of any medications or supplements you are taking, as some may increase the risk of bleeding or bruising.

  5. Avoid any skin treatments, such as waxing or laser hair removal, in the area to be treated for at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

  6. Do not schedule injectable treatments if you have an active infection or rash in the area to be treated.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Do not lay down or bend over for the next 4 hours.

  2. Avoid massaging or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  3. Do not apply makeup for at least 8 hours.

  4. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 24 hours following the procedure. Wear a hat or use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when outdoors.

  5. Avoid engaging in strenuous physical activity or activities that cause excessive sweating for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  6. Avoid consuming alcohol or caffeine for at least 24 hours following the procedure, as these can dehydrate you.

  7. Avoid using any skincare products, such as retinoids or alpha-hydroxy acids, for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  8. If you experience any discomfort or swelling at the treatment site, apply a cold compress to the area for 10-15 minutes at a time.

  9. If you are experiencing pain, you may take OTC Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 1000mg every 8 hours.

  10. Do not pick or scratch the treated area. Apply OTC Hydrocortisone if itching persists.

  11. Any bruising/swelling should resolve within 2 weeks, contact your provider immediately if there is prolonged bruising/swelling.

  12. IMPORTANT: contact your provider if you experience extreme pain, raised white bumps around treatment area, blanching and/or slow return of blood, and/or diffuse bruising that worsens over time. These are possible signs of an adverse reaction and needs to be addressed ASAP. CALL 602-755-3399.

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanner) for at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

  2. Inform your provider if you have a history of herpes outbreaks, as laser treatments may trigger a recurrence.

  4. Shave the treatment area the day before the procedure, if needed.

  5. Avoid waxing or plucking hairs in the treatment area for at least four weeks prior to the treatment.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Avoid exposure to prolonged, direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 24 hours following the procedure. Wear a hat or use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when outdoors.This is important to prevent hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin).

  2. Avoid using any skincare products, such as retinoids or alpha-hydroxy acids, for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  3. Do not pick or scratch any scabs or peeling skin that may occur following the procedure. DO NOT SCRUB YOUR FACE, this will cause premature peeling and scarring may occur.

  4. Avoid engaging in strenuous physical activity or activities that cause excessive sweating for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  5. Avoid consuming alcohol or caffeine for at least 24 hours following the procedure, as these can dehydrate you.

  6. Use the post-procedure kit provided to you. Use milky cleanser, followed by priming oil, calming cream, and firming mask.

  7. If you experience any discomfort or swelling at the treatment site, apply a cold compress to the area for 10-15 minutes at a time.

  8. If your provider recommends it, use a topical antibiotic cream on the treated area to help prevent infection.

  9. Attend any follow-up appointments scheduled by your provider to monitor your progress and ensure optimal results.

Chemical Peels

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Avoid using any topical products, such as retinoids or alpha-hydroxy acids, for at least one week prior to the procedure.

  2. Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

  3. Inform your provider of any medications or supplements you are taking, as some may increase the risk of complications.

  4. Avoid waxing or plucking hairs in the treatment area for at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

  5. Do not schedule chemical peel treatments if you have an active infection or rash in the treatment area.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Avoid touching or scratching the treated area for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  2. Do not wash your face for at least six hours following the procedure. After six hours, you can gently wash your face using a mild, fragrance-free cleanser.

  3. Use the post-procedure kit provided to you. Use milky cleanser, followed by priming oil, calming cream, and firming mask.

  4. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 24 hours following the procedure. Wear a hat or use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when outdoors. This is important to prevent hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin).

  5. Avoid swimming or soaking in water, such as hot tubs or saunas, for at least 24 hours following the procedure.

  9. Continue to hydrate with water throughout the day to help with the inflammation process.

Scalp Micropigmentation

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash your hair morning of the procedure.

  2. Do not shave your head for at least 24 hours prior to the procedure.

  3. Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours before the procedure.

  4. Inform your provider of any medications or supplements you are taking, as some may interfere with the procedure.

  5. Make sure you are well hydrated prior to the procedure.

  6. Eat a light meal before the procedure, to help avoid dizziness or lightheadedness during the procedure.

POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Avoid touching or scratching the treated area for at least five days following the procedure.

  2. Do not wash your scalp for at least three days following the procedure. After three days, you can gently wash the scalp using a mild, fragrance-free shampoo.

  3. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least two weeks following the procedure. Wear a hat or use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when outdoors.

  4. Avoid swimming or soaking in water, such as hot tubs or saunas, for at least two weeks following the procedure.

  5. Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating for at least five days following the procedure.

  6. Avoid using any hair styling products, such as gel or hairspray, for at least seven days following the procedure.

  7. Avoid using any topical products on the treated area, such as retinoids or alpha-hydroxy acids, for at least two weeks following the procedure.

  8. If you experience any redness or swelling, apply a cold compress to the treated area as needed.

  9. It is normal for the scalp to appear slightly darker immediately following the procedure. This will fade over time.

IV Infusions

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Make sure you are well hydrated prior to the procedure.

  2. Eat a light meal before the procedure, to help avoid dizziness or lightheadedness during the procedure.

  3. Inform your provider of any medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are taking.

  4. Wear loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to your arm for the IV placement.

  5. Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours before the procedure.

 

POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Keep the IV site clean and dry for the remainder of the day.

  2. Avoid engaging in strenuous physical activity for a few hours following the infusion.

  3. Continue to hydrate with water throughout the day to help flush out any remaining toxins.

  4. Avoid consuming alcohol or caffeine for a few hours following the infusion, as these can dehydrate you.

  5. Take it easy and rest as needed to allow your body to fully recover from the infusion.

  6. If you experience any discomfort or swelling at the IV site, apply a cold compress to the area for 10-15 minutes at a time.

  7. If you experience any severe or unexpected side effects after the infusion, such as difficulty breathing or chest pain, seek medical attention immediately.
